About Talarosa Zippo

Talarosa Zippo, is a fine example of what the Quarter Horse should be.  Good-minded, easy to handle and an outstanding mover, this own son of Zippo Pine Bar is stamping his get with these well sought after traits.
Regardless of what type of mare "Jackson" is bred to, his foals have a distinct look and attitude that is unmistakably Zippo.
Standing 15.1 with good muscling under a gleaming sorrel coat marked by eye-catching socks and blaze face, Talarosa is a joy to watch.

We at B/K Ranch are very proud of the foals he is producing and they are showing great promise in the show ring.

In the brief 5 years that "Gentry" touched the hearts of so many around him in the way only the rarest of horses do it was with a great feeling of loss that the news hit the Buckskin stallion Mr. Smokin Gentry left this world in July of 2004.
With his passing it is our hope that in his short span of accomplishments that his foals become his greatest success.

As I walk down stud row, I pause as I pass by the stall where Gentry once stood tall. I smile when I think of his fire, I sigh when I think of his grace. A feeling of saddness comes over me as I think about all he could have been, but then I get chills when I think about all he was. Not a trip through the barn goes by without seeing Gentry though,, I see him in his foals. His athleticism. his beauty, his raw talent just waiting to bust loose.
